In January 2011 I got a nice surprise in the post. A friend of mine kindly collected it for me and opened it since I didn't know what it was. Turned out it was a Micro Projector, a gift from OVH (my hosting company) for being a loyal customer for the past 3 years! I was shocked and I couldn't wait to open it.
It's specs aren't the best, but for a micro projector they're not so bad for the size of the unit.

To buy, this kit would cost you about £200. It's a nice little unit and it's light too, definitely no more than an iPhone weights and roughly the same size too.
It supports slideshows and various video formats, although I have seen it go out of audio sync occasionally and there is no way to fix it. It's simply the unit not being able to keep up.
During use it does get incredibly hot. This is to be expected as there is a very high power LED sat inside. Despite this, it doesn't overheat even with prolonged use. I've had it on for about 3 hours continuous and it was fine the whole time.
Overall it's a nice unit but it doesn't produce a very big usable picture unless it's pitch black. In daylight you would be lucky to get a 19" screen out of it, but in pitch black you can happily have 42" or larger.
I wouldn't buy one of these units, but I certainly could not decline it as a gift. Thanks OVH! =)
